Aamir Khan has cut short his holiday in France and flown down to Mumbai to shoot an important romantic song with Kareena Kapoor for director Rajkumar Hirani’s film 3 Idiots.

The song will be shot for over five days, starting from September 21.

Sources are said to believe that Aamir’s wife might be on the sets during the shoot of the song. Kiran would be back in Mumbai on Sept. 21 to be with Aamir on the sets. It is said that she is keen to watch the shooting of the romantic song because she closely wants to observe Aamir and Kareena. Perhaps Kiran has plans to make a romantic movie next.

Another theory says that Aamir has been raving to Kiran about Hirani’s style of working during his holiday with her. Now, she wants to see Hirani in action herself.

The song is so crucial to the film that Kareena had to cancel her birthday plan with Saif Ali Khan to give five days to Hirani for it. Other actors Sharman Joshi, Madhavan and Boman Irani too will be part of the song.

The movie as assumed by most is not exactly based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-seller ‘Five Point Someone’. Raju Hirani, the director who bowled with his Munnabhai series, stated that ‘Three Idiots’ is just an inspiration from the book and it is completely different. Only five percent of the book is the same. The director is of opinion that one can’t make a film out of a book, as both books and films are different.

“People should not go to the theatre thinking, we are going to watch ‘Five Point Someone’ and later find out that it’s a completely different film,” Hirani says.

Kareena Kapoor is not spending time with her family on September 21, her birthday, for she will be shooting for 3 Idiots with Aamir Khan.

Kareena Kapoor has decided to celebrate her birthday with Aamir Khan on September 29 instead of beau Saif Ali Khan. No, their relationship isn’t on the rocks but Kareena has decided to shoot for Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots along with Aamir on her 29th birthday.
Kareena and Aamir will be shooting a dance sequence for the movie which is running behind schedule. The movie went behind schedule after Aamir’s wife Kiran suffered a miscarriage and Aamir wanted to spend time with her so that she could recuperate from the loss.

Big Pictures has bagged the distribution rights for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 3 Idiots. The motion pictures brand of Reliance Big Entertainment will now release 3 Idiots this Christmas.

‘3 Idiots’ starring Aamir Khan, is all set for release during Christmas.There had earlier been media reports that the release of the film has been delayed, but this has put the supposition to rest.

The film is produced by Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani of Munnabhai fame. It is based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular book, Five Point Someone. Thought the shooting for the film is complete, the unit is busy with post-production work. Besides Aamir Khan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan and Boman Irani.

3 Idiots will be Aamir Khan’s third consecutive Christmas release. His earlier two films Tare Zameen Par (2007) and action fest Ghajini (2008) also released on the Christmas weekend.

T-Series has gone ahead and bagged the music rights of one of the most-anticipated films of the year: 3 Idiots. The film, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, stars heavyweights including Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in main roles.

Music of 3 Idiots has been composed by Shantanu Moitra and lyrics have been penned by Swanand Kirkire.

One of the most anticipated movies of the year, 3 Idiots stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani and Mona Singh. While it will be Hirani’s third film after the successful cult films Munnabhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munnabhai, 3 Idiots will also see the pairing of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor for the first time ever. The movie is slated to release on 25 December, 2009.

Aamir Khan beat Deepika Padukone and dad Prakash Padukone in a friendly badminton match..

On Sunday evening, Deepika Padukone and dad Pakash Padukone played a doubles badminton match against Aamir Khan and Aparna Popat, at the annual tournament for the Padukone Academy run by the one-time badminton champion.

Even though the actress lost the match against Aamir, Deepika believes it’s the sportsmanship that won at the end of the day. In her words, “I  know that Aamir plays badminton at the Khar gym. He’s extremely fit and a great player. It was an incredible experience to play opposite him.”

Deepika who’s extremely passionate about badminton adds that she always enjoys pairing with dad on the court, “Even after so many years dad is such a driving force and an inspiration for badminton enthusiasts.

Playing a doubles match, Aamir along with his partner beat the champs at their own game.

Like any other normal guy, Aamir is a sports freak himself, be it chess, table tennis, tennis, cricket or badminton.

It is a new found interest that the ‘Ghajini’ hero has found in the sport.

So taken in by the game, the actor influenced the entire team of ‘3 Idiots’ to play badminton during the breaks. He compares the sport with the dance form ‘ballet’ as he beleives that it requires a lot of control, strength, mind play and mesaured movements.

There’s something about the alphabet ‘T’ which may be attracting R. Madhavan to sign films if their titles begin with a ‘T’.

After ‘13B’ (or Thirteen B), he has at least three more films, titles of which start with the letter ‘T’. He is acting in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Three Idiots’ and Leena Yadav’s ‘Teen Patti’. There’s also Anand Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.

Madhavan is surely playing Manu while there was a tough hunt to rope in cute lass to play the lead opposite him.  Wanna know who is it? As per sources the search ends with Konkona Sen Sharma!

While “Three Idiots” and “Teen Patti” would release by the end of 2009, Madhavan has a yet-to-be-titled project being directed by Navdeep Singh of “Manorama Six Feet Under” fame apart from ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.

Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots has brought three good friends together once again after Rang De Basanti. Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi had a great time shooting for 3 Idiots. Madhavan, who is currently shooting in Delhi had very few scenes in RDB. But the length of his role in 3 Idiots is the last thing on his mind.

Completely impressed by director Rajkumar Hirani, Madhavan already has a feeling that 3 Idiots will be one of his remarkable films. When asked if he fears being outshined by Aamir he quickly replied, “Aamir is fantastic to work with. He is a talented actor. I don’t worry about those issues.” Madhavan informs that he has worked with Aamir earlier and loves his style of working. “He is my role model.” He signs off.

Mona Singh is all geared up for her silver screen debut with the film 3 Idiots. She will be seen with one of the ace actor of the Film Industry, Aamir Khan and is very excited about the project too. “My last schedule of the film will complete in July. We had lots of fun while making of Three Idiots and is eagerly waiting for it to release,” According to Mona.

“I was shooting for Filmfare and Aamir was there for his movie. It was a week’s time for me to start with the project with him. I was confused and didn’t know what to say but I broke the ice after meeting him. Aamir also said that he has seen my show Jassi and liked my work. He is very down to earth and nice person,” she said.

The cast and crew of Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots is gearing up for their next schedule that is to take place in Ladakh.

The dates for the Ladakh schedule have been finalized. The cast and crew will be leaving for Ladakh on 10 June and will complete the shoot in about a week’s time. After the Ladakh schedule they will be shooting the film at the airport in New Delhi.

The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani. ‘3 Idiots’ stars Aamir and Kareena as well as R. Madhvan, Mona Singh and Boman Irani. Originally, Hirani wanted Shah Rukh and Kajol to play the main lead in the film but due to the dates problems with My Name is Khan, they both had to turn it down.

3 Idiots is slated to release by the end of this year.
