3 Idiots, the film version of Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone. Aamir plays Rancho, a management student and so, to get a first-hand experience of how a management student leads his life, Aamir will spend 45 days at a hostel in Bangalore, along with co-stars Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and the crew.

According to sources, “Aamir reached the hostel campus of Friday. Even though he had seen pictures of the location, he wanted to see the location for real. Once he reached there, he decided that he must stay at a hostel, as he plays a college student staying in a hostel in 3 Idiots.”
The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, plays host to the Aamir and the crew. 3 Idiots is a story of three students of IIT-Delhi and their experiences in the hostel.
